For a long time, the controversies surrounding synthetic remedies for the relief of menopausal symptoms prompted many women to seek alternative treatments. Concerned about the health risks associated with hormone replacement therapy, our founder Arrow Chan sought to find a safe and natural menopausal remedy for his wife. Chan's quest led him to a university's life sciences lab. One of the research programmes there intrigued him. In that study, the molecular genetics of botanical ingredients were found to alleviate the symptoms of conditions such as menopause.

Together with two professors from the university and a few partners, Chan started Bionutra Pte Ltd in 2001. Based in Singapore, our company dedicated its research capabilities to develop a nutraceutical product designed to help mature women cope with the changes experienced during menopause. In 2003, our first product, Nutrafem, was introduced. Derived from botanical extracts, Nutrafem supports the management of menopausal symptoms.

Today, we are committed to develop and commercialise botanically-formulated products towards the improvement of health. Our natural products benefit mature age individuals, giving them the freedom to live the way they desire.
